GCVS 2019 Newsletter Issue 4
A message from the Executive Director
Dear GCVS family,
The second quarter started this week, and we all have a lot to look forward to. A new quarter is a fresh start – an opportunity to learn new things and grow. It’s something everyone can all benefit from, and we hope you make the most of every opportunity.
We encourage you to take advantage of the health screenings out school nurse is conducting across the state. The next one is this coming week in Springfield. We also have our next Special Education Advisory Committee meeting coming up in a few weeks. This is an open invitation to all of our parents and learning coaches, and you will learn about the committee’s goals and plans by attending this virtual meeting.
We have several meetups for both all of our students in November. High school students will be going to watch a performance of Romeo and Juliet, while elementary and middle school students will learn about early American history at Plimoth Plantation and Old Sturbridge Village. And some high school students are taking Math MCAS re-tests this month. Students and learning coaches who are taking part will have received notification in your email.
We hope you all enjoy the long weekend. As always, if you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us.
All the best,
