Student Spotlight – Kaylani S. – 3rd Grade

Kaylani is a stellar student in our third grade class. She comes to school every day prepared and ready to learn. She is an active participant who shares her thoughtful ideas both in class and in breakout rooms. Kaylani cares about others and often goes out of her way to encourage her classmates and connect with them inside and outside of school. She puts her full effort into every assignment and isn’t afraid to ask for help when something doesn’t quite make sense. Kaylani is also a natural problem solver. Whether she’s figuring something out for herself or helping a classmate work through a tough question, she brings curiosity and determination to the task. Way to go, Kaylani! Thanks for being YOU!

GCVS January Student Spotlight – Skye P. – Grade 3

Skye P. is an exemplary student who is a strong leader in our third-grade class! She arrives at school prepared and excited to learn. She is an active participant in class and her work is always high quality, which often includes additional examples. In addition, Skye is a creative student who loves to share her artwork and incredible “marble races” that she has designed to incorporate writing and science. It is a pleasure to have Skye in class!

Zariyah is an incredibly hard working student who has made tremendous growth this school year! She always comes to class with a smile and is ready to work hard. After class she spends time reviewing her work with her family and always asks what she can do better! Zariyah has a growth mindset and exemplifies what it means to be a GCVS student. Outside of school, Zariyah loves spending time with her family and she loves Disney. Her kindness and caring makes our second grade classroom the special place it is!

Lydia has shown tremendous growth in a short period of time. She works hard, is encouraging with her classmates, and participates in every class activity. Lydia completes all of her assignments and is always up to being challenged in class. She arrives with a smile on her face and ready to learn. Lydia demonstrates confidence and character as a student and now as a Girl Scout!

Camila is a hard working second grader. She consistently participates and enjoys challenging herself in class. She is always smiling and is willing to help out her classmates. Camila has a love for learning and especially a passion for writing stories. When she isn’t in school, she attends dance class on a regular basis. Camila dances through life bringing joy to everyone around her!

Dante is an enthusiastic second grader who has made so much growth already this year! He is always cheering his classmates on and is ready to answer questions and participate in all classes. He starts each day off with a smile and is ready to greet his teachers and classmates. Dante is a motivated math whiz and loves learning about science.

Martina is an incredibly enthusiastic and hard working student who is always ready to learn! She always comes prepared to class with a huge smile on her face. Martina is a classroom role model. She loves to share her interests with her teachers and peers, especially her love of animals! She’s a thoughtful student who enjoys working with others and making friends. We can’t wait to see your growth this year, Martina!!

Olivia is new to GCVS this year and made such a strong transition to our school community! Olivia is a leader in both her whole class and in small group. She participates daily in all of her classes and always reaches out to teachers for feedback on her work, going above and beyond. Olivia shares her interesting perspective about living on a farm. Her classmates and teachers are in awe of her daily responsibilities on the farm and life with all the animals. Olivia loves to take care of the baby goats and does agility training with her dogs.
