October Student Spotlight – Jathan B. – Grade 6 – Revere

Jathan B. is a literal ball of sunshine! He is polite and kind and has a wonderful sense of humor. He has pushed himself to grow as a student, even in the short time we have known him. He seeks and takes feedback at all times. He demonstrates care and concern for his classmates and teachers. Every day he accomplishes his classwork at a consistently strong level while going above and beyond to help other students. His smile and positive attitude brighten all our days!

June 2024 - Jayce H.
Student Spotlight – Jayce H. Grade 6

Jayce is new to GCVS. Although it can be challenging to start late in the school year, he has jumped right in, sharing his great smile with all of us. Jayce has a great sense of humor and loves to make his classmates and teachers laugh. He is very thoughtful and kind to all. He is always quick to respond to get students back on track or cheer someone up if needed. Jayce has been volunteering as a peer tutor in FOCUS where he helps peers complete their work after regular school hours. Jayce is a great role model and a pleasure to have in class!

Student Spotlight – Sebastian C. – Grade 8

Sebastian has had an amazing start to the school year and continues to shine. He has shown tremendous growth and effort in improving his attendance and academic achievement. Sebastian has set goals for himself and continues to work on meeting those goals. He is a wonderful participant in class and contributor to our school community. Not only does GCVS recognize him, but Sebastian was also recognized by DESE for his exceptional performance on the 2023 MCAS assessments. Way to go, Sebastian, keep shining!

GCVS Student Spotlight – Theone C. – 8th Grade

Theone is a charismatic 8th grader whose enthusiasm for learning is as contagious as her witty personality. She is the first to volunteer and always positively contributes to the lesson. She is a leader in our community, who lends a hand and supports new students with praise and comfort and is a great role model for her classmates. As she heads to high school, Theone is ready to take on the world!

Zoey is an amazing student and an exceptional leader in her 8th grade class. She is articulate and kind and quick to advocate when she sees that things are not quite right. She takes every assignment seriously and always strives for the best possible grades. Zoey is always happy to tell you a thing or two about sloths, her favorite animal. Zoey is an absolute joy to have in class!

GCVS Student Spotlight – Noah K. – 8th Grade – Chicopee

Noah is so engaged with his schoolwork at GCVS. He is curious and has a great sense of humor. Noah is always willing to step up whether by answering a difficult question in front of the class, helping a classmate, or being a teacher’s aide. He works hard and is not afraid to ask for clarification when he has a question about a lesson. Noah is a great kid and a strong member of our GCVS community!
